As a Software Developer JavaScript you will be part of our agile, cross-functional and international development team. You will drive the development of new features on frontend side as well as maintain and improve the current code behind Grepolis. You will be part of a game that is played by millions of players.

Your mission:

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Work with the continuous development and improvement of the frontend of our all-time favorite game Grepolis
  • Further develop and optimize our JavaScript solutions with a mix of custom and open source libraries
  • Work closely with the backend team to maintain an extensive API and implement client side logic
  • Collaborate with Game Designers and Artists to build and maintain a complex UI
  • Being part of the whole feature development lifecycle to provide the best user experience for our players
  • Degree in computer science or a comparable education
  • Competent knowledge of CSS 3 and HTML5
  • Good knowledge of JavaScript and ECMAScript 5
  • Well-versed in design patterns and software architecture, TDD and unit testing
  • You have working experience with MVC frameworks
  • Full stack experience with PHP and databases would be a plus
  • Solution-oriented, efficient and able to work under pressure
  • Proactive and motivated individual with a willingness to learn
  • Team player and good communicator within an agile team
