  • IMC is currently looking for an experienced Support Engineer with outstanding technical, project management and communication skills with the opportunity grow into more responsibilities related to management and security.
  • You are responsible for the physical and virtual desktop trading environment, core infra components like email and DNS, phone/video communication systems, knowledge and ticketing systems and end user devices like tablets, mobile phones and laptops. This also includes inventory- and capacity management. Your success lies in delivering a high quality IT service optimized for user experience in a demanding environment.
  • On a day-to-day basis you work together with Traders, Quants, Engineers, Managers, Executive Board Members and Support staff. You’ll have a high level of autonomy and responsibility to provide an IT environment with the aim to exceed your user’s expectations. Here at IMC, we are covering support levels 1-3, so this is far from a traditional helpdesk role.
  • Your job is not just to serve several internal key accounts. Your job is also to solve problems, spot new opportunities and drive them. You’ll be hands-on involved where your technical and personal skills are an enabler, helping us deliver results, make a difference and ensure that IMC is future proof.
  • Minimum BS degree in Computer Engineering, Information Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong experience in a high quality and service oriented environment
  • Great sense for urgency and prioritization
  • Very pro-active, pragmatic and alert
  • Excellent and proven project management and planning skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Goes above and beyond – won’t rest until the job is done
  • Strong sense of security and safety of data
  • Wide variety of technical skills across Windows, Mac OS and Linux
  • Strong experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, DNS, (video)call-managers and mobile devices
  • Experience with virtual machines, storage and cloud services
  • Enjoys data analytics and reporting.
