What You Will Be Doing
As an experienced cloud security architect with a deep background in application and infrastructure security, you will provide technical leadership helping ensure our Pure1 Cloud SaaS is the most secure in the industry. You will focus specifically on product level security architecture & engineering across our 100 person Pure1 Cloud Engineering Organization while also leading cross-functional touch points across all of Pure. You’ll be leading the implementation of security standards/best practices and will be responsible for delivering the security roadmap for the organization over the next 5 years. Emphasis will be on code level architecture (for both product & development infrastructure) while also defining and delivering our cloud operation security as we continue to scale.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Provide technical leadership on security spanning product architecture, implementation, and operations for the Pure1 Cloud Division
- Work with product management and engineering leadership to define the security roadmap for our SaaS offerings.
- Mentor engineering teams on security best practices and industry stands for building our next generation Cloud Services
- Perform security reviews and code reviews to assess risks and work closely with engineering and IT teams to define solutions
- Build proof of concepts to solve security engineering problems
- Advise on emerging security issues, security compliance and certification
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent, advanced degree preferred
- 8+ years experience in web service software architecture and development.
- Minimum of 5 years experience with security technologies
- Hands on experience in development and operations of Cloud SaaS or PaaS
- Expertise with at least one programming language such as Java, Python or similar languages
- Security fundamentals with a solid understanding of threats, vulnerabilities, risks, defenses, security principles and policies
- Mastery of securing Cloud services from development to deployment
- Experience in authentication and authorization methodologies
- Subject matter expertise on emerging security trends and solutions
- Ability to successfully contribute to multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
