Desired Skills and Experience

  • Run our heavily used production platform in a 24x7 mode
  • Support the team on operations topics - deployment & automation
  • Improve our existing platform concerning scalability, deployments and reliability 
  • Monitor the platform to know issues before our users do
  • Solid experience in administering Linux/UNIX systems 
  • Familiarity with public cloud environments (e.g. AWS) and platform automation
  • Solid experience with Docker and Docker orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes)
  • Solid scripting skills (e.g. Ruby, Perl, Python, shell)
  • Experience in managing and tuning PostgreSQL servers
  • Experience with platform monitoring (e.g. New Relic, ELK, Nagios, Grafana)
  • Hands on approach with a “getting things done” mentality 
  • Team player, happy working in an Agile environment
