What You Will Do:

As a key player of the DOSH Development team you’ll participate in the evolution of our groundbreaking platform by generating API services deployed in AWS that are auto-scalable, self-contained and modular. You will develop, test and support restful web services that integrate and interact with internal and external Libraries, services and databases. 

All tools and training necessary for the job will be provided. You will work with a small but rapidly expanding dev team in our Austin office.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of software development.
  • 3+ years Node.js, REST APIs.
  • AWS Lambda, API Gateway,  CloudFormation.
  • Strong SQL querying and optimization skills.
  • Serverless application frameworks (Serverless, Apex).
  • Git/GitHub or similar.
  • Cloud-based architectures, development, and deployment.
  • Scalability experience.
  • Strong analytical skills with troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate on projects
  • Patience to provide technical direction and best practices to junior developers
  • Self-motivated with the ability to meet milestones
  • Self-disciplined to work independently on projects
  • Mellow ego, open to collaboration, code reviews, and constructive feedback
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
  • Agile / Scrum development methodology
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / MIS or equivalent experience
