Junior DevOps Engineer - entry level at Infectious Media (London, UK)
Our engineering team deals with over 25 billion events a day over multiple data centres across the world. We do this by treating operations as a software engineering problem, automating our infrastructure and environment to reduce manual intervention. You’ll spend your time on the team driving reliability and performance throughout our entire stack, with the authority to make design changes and improve code where you see fit. This entry level position provides a graduate with a great introduction to the different technologies used in a high volume DevOps environment, including Systems management and Application Deployment. The role also provides a good overview of the Real Time Bidding industry and how cutting edge technology is used to power new business ventures.

Desired Skills and Experience
- Maintain and extend our internal automation, from extending APIs to fixing bugs in scripts
- Assist in the design and development of new projects with both the development and data teams
- Help ensure we meet our internal SLOs for services
- Participate in a light on call rotation with the rest of the team who build our production systems
- You’ve used Linux and are comfortable with the command line
- You know the basics of at least one programming language, we use Python extensively
- You’re excited about working with large scale production systems which span the globe
- You’re looking to learn about software engineering best practises, and how they can be used in operations
- You’re excited about new technologies and how they can be used
- Computer Science (or similar such as Maths with Computer Science) degree. OR 1 year’s industry experience in a DevOps, cloud system administrator, system administrator, system developer or similar technical role
- Work with cutting edge technologies and contribute to open source projects
- Exposure to a broad range of technologies
