Position Summary

The Cloud Operations – Production Operations Engineer will be responsible for supporting highly reliable, high performing and secure operations for n-tier SaaS applications, comprising both UI and data integration components and for provisioning and administering the R&D AWS environment. The person in this position will work closely with the Cloud Development team maintaining a “DevOps” culture. This position reports through R&D IT leadership, but will be a key contributor to Cloud Development and Product Support teams.

  • Provision, administer and maintain cloud hosted (currently AWS) systems for the R&D group

  • On a rotating basis, provide after hours, on-call incident support
  • Continuously improve operations processes, including incident, problem, change management and disaster recovery processes
  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
  • At least 1 year of experience working with a high volume customer facing SaaS application or in a DevOps environment
  • Understanding of / experience with at least 4 of the following disciplines:

SaaS Application architecture Serverless (Lambda, API Gateway) AWS technologies Build/deployment/delivery processes System provisioning, automation and configuration management tools AWS EC2 or similar instance provision and administration Familiarity with cloud monitoring principles and tools Security, performance and data privacy for a multitier cloud based application
