Position SummaryAs a member of the Infrastructure Services Team, you will be responsible for deploying, growing and maintaining distributed systems of Avira`s enterprise architecture. You constantly interact with an international team of open-minded engineers located in Romania, Germany, and Munich to find the very best solutions for our systems. You will be responsible for infrastructure design, deployment and operation of a variety of systems and coordinate such projects with internal co-working teams and stakeholders.Performance objectives

- You have a degree in computer science
- You have strong system administration skills (especially Linux) and can learn new languages within a short timeframe.
- You possess programming experience in the field of infrastructure automation and web-development
- Ideally, you have prior experience with cloud computing (IaaS or PaaS) and configuration management tools like Salt or Puppet.
- You have a deep understanding of load balancing, several web server- and caching technologies to provide web operations at large scale including integration of various back-end services.
- You are familiar with system analysis, system design, system architecture, data flow/throughput analysis, data security and capacity planning.
- You also have a deep understanding of all system layers including virtualization and networking.
- You know how to find performance bottlenecks, security holes and failure points in any layer of the architecture and implement fixes.
