Desired Skills and Experience

  • Hands-on Implementation of security-related projects, including analyzing, architecting, and implementing information security systems and services
  • Evaluating and selecting vendors or open source solutions as appropriate
  • Partner with product and technology teams to ensure product requirements and technical designs will lead to secure implementations
  • Work with technology leadership to define the security roadmap
  • Act as the product owner for security concerns across the technology teams by working to prioritize security-related work on development teams
  • Vendor management and third party assessments
  • Raise awareness and adherence to secure development practices on development teams
  • Raise awareness of security across the organization
  • Experience with information security theory and implementation in some of the following areas:
  • Data protection
  • HIPAA requirements
  • Two Factor Authentication
  • Code security review
  • Confidentiality, integrity, availability, non-repudiation
  • Application, network, database, and hardware security
  • Encryption algorithms and cryptographic hashing
  • Public Key Infrastructure
  • Code to simulate crypto architecture for validation
  • Logging and compliance
  • Threat analysis and risk mitigation
  • Policy generation and enforcement
  • Vulnerability detection
  • System auditing
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to research new topics and distill complex concepts to applicable and relevant content
  • Ability to communicate with, educate, and learn from co-workers and peers
  • Communication with customers, including discretion to maintain internal and sensitive information while providing accurate and relevant information
  • Ability to approach problems with attacker mentality and mitigate unique and ever-changing risks
  • Software development experience
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Hands-on, proactive, and able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Energy and positivity to instill into the TigerText culture
  • Healthcare, SaaS, or Enterprise industry experience is a plus
