Wellspring is hiring a Systems Engineer to help build our DevOps culture and assist with the delivery of a modern microservice-based SaaS platform. In this role, you will work closely with our top notch infrastructure, release, and development teams to maintain and improve our performance, security, and uptime standards. Reporting directly to our Infrastructure Architect, this is an exciting career opportunity for a self-starting and resourceful professional.

Responsibilities:

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Deployment, administration, and troubleshooting of our distributed hosting infrastructure
  • Maintenance of configuration management and deployment systems to support the above
  • Management of our AWS environment, and the migration of clients into it.
  • Active collaboration with development and other teams, providing technical support and advice
  • Create and maintain technical procedures and documentation
  • Response, resolution, and root cause analysis of service issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal teams and external clients
  • Linux hosting experience (LAMP stack or similar)
  • Experience with Python scripting and Puppet based configuration management
  • Exposure to AWS concepts and best-practices
  • Exposure to database administration and scalling
  • Experience instilling values and practices consistent with a strong DevOps and ChatOps culture
  • Experience with at least some of: Apache, Nginx, MySQL, PHP, Ruby, Clojure, Terraform, Jenkins
  • Understanding of HTTP, SSL/TLS, and TCP/IP
  • Familarity with federated authentication via SAML or other protocols
  • Experience with information security: federal computing standards, auditing, and pen testing
