The Team – Delivery Architecture (The path from idea to production for Concur)

We are expanding Delivery Architecture team presence in Bangalore and looking for best and brightest software engineers to help us simplify and improve software engineering practices at Concur. Delivery Architecture within Concur shapes the path of an idea toward its goal state and provides the Runtime components underpinning production grade customer facing or an internal Concur service capabilities. The new team in Bangalore will be focused on building the visual representation of what happens as ideas mature into code, transition into artifacts and finally mature into production grade services. Ultimate focus is on the user experience. The core challenge is to define, design, build and deliver a unified single pane of glass presenting sets of actionable data created during the engineering lifecycle. Desired Skills and Experience

  • Dive in to understand capabilities and relationships of Concur’s engineering building blocks
  • Engage with Product Managers to refine user stories, mock-ups, process flows and target visualizations
  • Engineer prototypes for presentation and backend services aimed at data aggregation and presentation with specific focus on quick incremental updates
  • Pitch your ideas, demo your services, iterate on received feedback
  • End to end ownership of shipped services
  • Drive evolution of DevOps at Concur by contributing to architectural patterns for Concur software engineering
  • Give the Easy Button to Concur engineers worldwide
  • Track record of end to end service ownership in an agile and test driven environment
  • Experience with Javascript frameworks (AngularJS, backbone, ember, react, etc)
  • Experience with building and deploying RESTful APIs
  • Experience with either Python, Ruby or Java
  • Experience with relational databases and key-value stores
  • Experience with UI testing frameworks
  • Experience with UX principles and best practices
  • Experience managing mixed language and mixed platform environments
  • Experience with Unix/Linux systems and public cloud infrastructure and platform services
  • Experience with informational retrieval, data extraction, and analytics preferred
  • Ability to express ideas clearly within the team and across other groups
  • Creativity, passion and drive for excellence
  • Bachelors/Master’s Degree in Computer Science or any other specialization or equivalent practical experience
