Intern, Plugin Engineer at ARM (Austin, TX)
Background
The Partner Enablement Group is looking for a skilled and motivated intern to join the team developing a hardware trace analysis library for ARM’s next generation architectures and devices. This library is being used to create a suite of client applications that provide a variety of pre-silicon solutions for system validation, debug, and performance analysis. This position offers a rare opportunity to be a part of a small team in ARM that is focused on producing innovative and quality software solutions.
Role
The candidate for this position will be responsible for developing plugins for the hardware trace analysis library mentioned above. The candidate will work closely with the development team to help improve the library and produce plugins and models that add support for ARM’s latest hardware products and bus architectures. Ideally this candidate has a Computer Engineering background with strong programming experience in an object-oriented language. The candidate will also be responsible for documentation and validation of new plugins with validation coverage provided by other product teams across ARM. This is a small team so the candidate must have good communication skills and be able and willing to express opinions clearly.
