We’re looking for a smart, talented engineer (located anywhere in North America working remotely) to join our development team responsible for building and scaling Workday’s new video cloud service.

Responsibilities:

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Working as a member of a global team managing our 24x7 video cloud service.
  • Building tools to automate server provisioning, management and scaling.
  • Improving our continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.
  • Monitoring performance, tuning and troubleshooting of servers and network issues.
  • Supporting our application development teams in architecting, designing and deploying new solutions.
  • Partnering with security and infrastructure teams to share tools and expertise.
  • Designing, building and managing large scale Linux-based systems in a live production environment.
  • Automating large-scale deployments with modern operations tools (Ansible, Docker, Packer, Terraform, etc).
  • Familiar with the full lifecycle of deploying applications within Amazon Web Services (AWS). Experience in Amazon S3, RDS, EC2, SQS, IAM, and Route 53 is desireable.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols and diagnostic tools.
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and organizations.
