Desktop and POS Support Analyst - 1 year contract at Mountain Equipment Co-op (Vancouver, BC, Canada)
The backbone of our operation, the fast-moving IT team is working behind the scenes to turn ideas into elegantly crafted code and smooth-running realities. They scale, they ship, they integrate all our systems, and if you forget your password, it’s cool, they’ll help with that too.
As the Desktop and POS Support Analyst, you will work with a collaborative team of people to provide Desktop and POS support for MEC.
When you’re not thinking big, there’s a good chance you’ll be out with your co-workers, feeling inspired and trying something new, like riding in a Fondo, bouldering or paddleboarding.
What you do:
Desired Skills and Experience
- Provide Help Phone and desk side support for all MEC PC and Mac computing equipment and MEC phone systems.
- Actively monitor the ticket queue
- Provide point of sale support.
- Coordinate the order and installation of PC and Mac hardware for Head Office and Distribution Centre.
- Document all inventory changes for PC and Mac hardware.
- Collaborate with the Information Technology department as required.
- Provide backup for Computer Operator night shifts.
- Shifts will be Sunday to Thursday 5:30am-1:30pm, and/or Tuesday to Saturday 5:30am-1:30pm. Please reference which shift you are interested in on your cover letter.
- A post-secondary diploma in related discipline (i.e., Computer Science).
- 3-5 years of experience in the following areas:
Microsoft Windows OS systems, compatible hardware and software. Mac OS X systems, compatible hardware and software. An understanding of PC Mac integration. The use and administration of Microsoft applications and suites including Office 365, MS Office, MS Project and MS SQL. Active Directory Ticketing Systems
