As a cyber security engineering manager, you will support the Cyber Security team in designing, evaluating and management of advanced cyber security solutions aimed at keeping current and emerging cyber risks at bay.

  • Work with all IT teams (e.g. development, operations, etc.) to design and evaluate security architecture during the development and implementation of network components and application Solutions
  • Design, evaluate and implement both in-house and 3rd party security Solutions
  • Conduct vendor review & new technology evaluation, inclusive of demos, proof of concept and Trials
  • Provide hands on technical risk assessment, configuration review and gap analysis of security and network Technologies and support the creation and execution of a threat and vulnerability management program
  • Create custom tools for the automation and enhancement of security activities
  • Apply knowledge of industry cyber practices and international standards to produce secure Solutions
  • Identify technical opportunities and risks to improve the overall security, quality, and resiliency of systems and applications
  • Establish and maintain a strong working relationships with IT staff and security team members
  • Relevant hands on experience in technical engineering and operational experience in IT Security and expertise in network security technologies including routing, next generation firewalls, IPS/IDS, secure gateways, encryption/PKI, virtual private networking, etc.
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience in an IT Environment
  • In-depth technical knowledge of security engineering, computer and network security, application security, authentication and security protocols and applied cryptography
  • Strong understanding of complex enterprise networks and large mix vendor network Environments
  • Extensive background in the research, adoption and implementation and operation of security solutions (e.g. IDS/IPS, Firewalls)
  • Strong foundation in network security technologies such as firewalls, remote access, application security etc.
  • Knowledge in Big Data Security including Hadoop security and emerging technologies such as in-memory computing and NoSQL
  • Fluently in English, excellent proficiency in German – an advantage
