Exciting opportunity in the digital media entertainment industry, helping deliver the latest in video technology to customers. Responsible for providing integration engineering support and internal engineering expertise in collaboration with various cross-functional groups. Helps develop and document long-term engineering objectives and plans related to integrating video products and services across Comcast in accordance to the company’s golden configuration and technical vision. Helps provide innovative solutions for complex engineering deployment challenges.

- Participate in large engineering projects including complex design and implementation.
- Assist in creating documentation/standard methods and procedures that will be used to implement technical vision and strategies.
- Consults on internal projects and initiatives, researching and recommending leading edge technology solutions for integration challenges.
- Interact with other groups to give design solutions, meeting the needs of the business and our customers.

- Interfaces with various component/application vendors, engineering groups and/or peer organizations.

- Deployment automation development; supports or helps with the building of tools, scripts, coding.
- Stays knowledgeable on important emerging technologies and industry standards, like CableLabs, SCTE, and deployment automation.
- Customer focused, meeting the needs and expectations of both internal and external customers.
- Willing to take ownership of problems and see them through to resolution.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights, and variable schedule, as projects require. Must be able to travel up to 25% as projects require.
- Arris or Cisco Conditional Access Systems, Controller and headend related equipment
- Networking (Cisco, Juniper, Arista etc.): Network flow and addressing, traffic tracing and resolution, DNS and managing multiple interfaces (Copper and Fiber).
- Deployment tool solutions (Puppet, Ansible, etc.), coding or scripting (Python, Perl, Shell, Bash, Javascript, etc.)
- Cloud TV solutions, IP Video, MPEG, recorder manager/recorders, storage solutions
- Cable Box, hardware and related applications
- Virtualization(VM), Container (Docker), and Orchestration (Kubernetes) technology solutions
- Foundational Infrastructure, Linux, CoreOS, CentOS, Redhat.
- Unified Computing Platforms: Cisco, SuperMicro, Dell, HP, etc.
