Campaign Monitor is seeking a Security Analyst to join our growing IT Security team; someone who will work on automating security controls, managing day-to-day security operations tasks, identifying and protecting our systems from security threats. Our 150,000 customers send over 2 billion emails every month, and our systems and infrastructure security needs to be maintained at the optimal level.

Who are you?

You’re smart, personable and friendly, and you communicate clearly and respectfully. You have background in security operations and systems administration, live and breathe security best practises and are passionate about learning new security challenges and trends. You will be a subject matter expert in security analysis, vulnerability management and security assurance. While your operational background is very important to be successful in this role, you will also have passion for topics such as application security, architecture, incident response and assisting with security questions as part of our pre-sales process.

What you’ll be working on

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Manage and, where possible, automate security controls and reporting (vulnerability management, system hardening, logging and monitoring, system integrity, honeypots, source code reviews, anti-fraud)
  • Perform log analysis to detect and respond to security events
  • Participate in the security assessments of networks, systems and applications delivered internally and externally
  • Review and recommend technical and non-technical improvements to system and network security controls
  • Assist sales with questions from customers and prospects
  • Create and update documentation
  • Relevant BA/BS degree in Computer Science
  • Passion for security and automation
  • Experience managing security assurance, security analysis, vulnerability management, system hardening programs
  • Good understanding of how web applications work, from the underlying network protocols (HTTP, TCP) through to webserver (IIS, nginx), browser behaviour and everything in between
  • Strong knowledge of TCP and UDP networking and troubleshooting with tcpdump, Wireshark, nmap
  • Experience working in a startup environment, ideally for a SaaS/cloud company
  • System administration and management background
  • Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet
