Desired Skills and Experience

  • Create, manage, and deploy network infrastructure focusing on consistent uptime and meeting clients’ business objectives.
  • Supporting Server and workstations, NAS, firewall, router installs and configurations.
  • Performing audits of IT infrastructure and creating solutions with our project managers to be implemented, which support the long term and short-term goals of our clients.
  • Maintain archive and backup systems.
  • Troubleshoot networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational problems in a timely manner with onsite support as needed.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate documentation and knowledge transfer with occasional end user training.
  • 3-5+ years of experience building, administering, and deploying network infrastructures with Mac and Linux knowledge a plus.
  • MS 2008/12 Server administration experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows Active directory, permissions, groups, administration.
  • Firewall experience with NAT and VPN required.
  • Support, setup, and configure Windows based workstations - Windows 7, Windows 10.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite 2010, 2013, and Office 365 deployments.
  • Complete knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS.
  • Additional skills with MS Exchange, Virtualization, and remote access is a plus.
  • Knowledge of VoIP systems and telephony is desired.
  • Build strong client relationships as their primary technical point of contact.
  • Function collaboratively as part of a fast-paced, customer oriented team with the ability to effectively perform independently.
  • Curiosity and the desire to learn new technologies.
  • Effective communicator, both verbal and written.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Duties may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (Overtime paid during evenings and weekends).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems is desired.
