As aService Reliabilityengineer on theCDNSREteam, you willdevelop automation, implement monitoring solution, validate and deploy software in an agile environment. In your role, you will bridgethe gap between development/engineering and NOC/CNOC for production support. Develop innovative ways to perform upgrades, deployments in production to scale out for CDN growth across Comcast footprint. As Service Reliabilityengineer, your mission would be to stay on top of planned maintenances and drive solutions to reduce downtime and manual maintenance effort.Query big data stores (Splunk,ELK) to quantify the scope of reported issues. Create new metrics and identify monitoringsolutionsto improve site/servicereliability. Evaluate new code releases for basic reliability and systems integration support, providing guidance for quality driven delivery to production.

Responsibilities:

Perform upgrades and deployments to production




Co-ordinate with network engineering and data center teams for hardware break-fix




Develop automated deploymentsolutionthrough CI/CD




Investigate new technologies to improve operational efficiency




Provide 24x7 on-call supportfor production incidents





A bachelor's degreein Computer Scienceor Engineeringand2+ years of professional work experience




Experience with a variety ofprogramminglanguagesincludingGo, Perl, Java, jQuery,Python, Shell/Bash,Ruby, Groovy, PHP




Strong understanding ofNetworkingConcepts- TCP/IP, DHCP basic routing




Familiarity withELK, Splunk, OP5/Nagios,RabbitMQ,Graffana,InfluxDB




Willing to take ownership of problems and see them through to resolution
