Condé Nast International publishes Vogue, Wired, Ars Technica, Vanity Fair, Glamour, GQ and many other leading brands. We’re in China, Japan, Taiwan, India, Russia, Italy, France, Spain, Germany, the UK and Mexico. 

Historically, we’ve had different tech stacks in markets all over the world. Now we’re looking at unifying our core platform, including our CMS and data infrastructure. This is a new international team, with a hub in London, that has the opportunity to help define our architecture, tooling, what we ship and how we ship it. You’ll get a rare look at digital publishing around the world.

Our technical stack consists of:

Fully cloud hosted infrastructure on AWS, Docker, CircleCI, Terraform, Mongo, Redis, Fastly CDN, nginx, Node, and JS (ES6). Micro-services architecture.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • a desire to automate everything
  • extensive experience working with cloud infrastructure both in development and maintanence
  • automate configuration, provisioning and deployments of software
  • configuration and management of CI and CD environments and tools
  • instrument effective monitoring and logging of applications
  • adept at Linux/Unix system and tools including: permissions, configuring firewalls and security configuration
  • experience architected systems with complex caching layers (Varnish, Akamai, Fastly, memcached)
  • familiarity with IP networking: topology, TCP, UDP, SSL, firewalls, VPNs
  • ability to create utility scripts with Bash or Python
  • collaborative nature with a willingness to mentor and knowledge share with the rest of the engineering team
