We are recruiting for  a Dev-Op contract role for a broadcast client - Arqiva in Central London. 

This role works closely with an internal dev team to create the infrastructure for new cloud distribution platforms and online portals, giving broadcasters a new set of tools to deliver their content across the globe. Their technology stack powers FreeView Play with a number of other projects in the pipeline to leverage this expertise.

Beginning with an initial 6-12 month contract, with possible extension, the day rate is pitched at between £500-600.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Linux Server management
  • Cloud Server management (AWS/Azure/Google)
  • Strong skills in configuration (Primarily Puppet)
  • Experience in software development methodologies and version control systems (GIT)
  • Experience with containerisation (Docker)
  • Use docker containers for environments
  • Use tools such as consul and vault for configuration, dns and secrets management
  • Ensure security is always a primary concern and reject any method which dilutes it.
  • Work with architecture to ensure that the infrastructure created meets the needs of the application (robustness, failover, etc..)
