Of course you are not afraid to script, but, as DevOps Engineer, you are so much more. You collaborate and break down the ‘silos’. You create unity and ensure that everything remains operational. Both online and physical. In doing so, you are supportive and work with continuous integration and continuous deployment.

Your work consist of two pillars: on the one hand keeping the servers and the site operational, and on the other hand supporting the developers. You work on high availability and high performance under high traffic and high pressure. You simultaneously work on various projects and at various levels. Independent, or Scrumming in a team.

Every single day, you are a pioneer with the newest techniques such as Docker and Mesos, hosting on Amazon, and you know your way around Windows and Linux. IIS, SQL Server and configuration management. CHEF, Puppet, Salt, Ansible? You know exactly what you’re doing! 

Desired Skills and Experience

  • HBO (higher professional education)-level working and thinking
  • At least four years of experience with application management and software development or scripting
  • Knowledge of both Windows and Linux servers, continuous integration, IIS, Apache, and SQL-server
  • Experience with C# is an advantage
  • Analytical skills and able to prioritize
  • Communicative, service-oriented, problem-solving, and decisive
  • Experience with Agile working methods (preferably Scrum)
