Jirnexu is looking for experienced DevOps specialists, dedicated uptime perfectionists monitoring infrastructure and operations to ensure high performance and availability of Jirnexu services and web properties.

This role encompasses a mix of development, networking, security, and system administration skills, you’ll need to manage application systems administration, production support, and many other tasks.

You’ll work closely with the developer team, removing obstacles interfering with workflow, and ensuring new features and bug fixes get tested and deployed reliably. You’ll also be a ready source of advice and mentorship for junior developers.

  • Monitor application services and systems and investigate anomalies.
  • Ensure testing and deployment is streamlined and automated.
  • Help developers with deployment and bug investigation.
  • Ensure all systems are securely configured and up-to-date.
  • Analyse system performance, detect bottlenecks, propose solutions (or workarounds).
  • Hands on experience with AWS and Docke
  • Able to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools
  • Able to code and script, and debug in a Linux environment
  • Knowledge of build systems and ability to perform merging, branching and configuration management
  • Working knowledge of security principles: server security, file systems and access control
  • Comfortable with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment, and continuous integration
  • Understanding and focus on business outcomes
  • Able to work independently on large, complex projects with minimal guidance
