IT Security Analyst at Checkout.com (London, UK)
As Checkout.com is rapidly growing and expanding our capabilities, we are looking for a proactive Security Analyst to drive security awareness as well as adoption of security best practices across the business.
You will act as our Security Officer, detecting, evaluating and mitigating actual or potential threats on our 24x7 online transaction processing platform, our corporate networks and our devices. You will also help our people identify and thus neutralise social attacks. Guided by our Head of IT Infrastructure & Security, you will develop IT Security Policies and Procedures, ensuring that they are carried out. You will require excellent communication and influencing skills to interact with and advise employees at all levels.

Desired Skills and Experience
- Define security policies in collaboration with the Head of IT Infrastructure & Security
- Supervise application of security policies, including:
- Validate requests for user permission modifications
- Validate requests for firewall rule modifications
- Verify application of data storage and retention policies
- Ensure proper cryptography protects our communications (corporate and platform)
- Carry out internal security audits (firewalls, users, and others)
- Plan, implement and upgrade physical, technical and administrative security controls
- Produce Security Policy and Procedure documents and keep them up to date
- Monitor security alerts in transaction processing platform
- Coordinate security interactions with 3rd parties
- Analyse and determine root cause of potential or actual security threats and breaches
- Organise and drive corporate security awareness program
- 5 years experience in IT, with 2 in IT Security, ideally in a dynamic startup environment
- Good knowledge of Information Security practices, including enterprise networking
- Knowledge of PCI DSS and regulated environments
- Investigative mind with excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Proactive and adaptable, equally comfortable working independently or as part of a team
- Personable and confident, able to build relationships with partners and key stakeholders
- Resilient and calm under pressure
- CISSP certification, or similar would be an advantage
- BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or related would be a plus
- Fluency in English
