Position Summary:

This internship is for you if you are interested in one or more of the following areas: database administration, network engineering, cloud infrastructure, server engineering.

  • Design, construction and operation of our system infrastructure of Rakuten services.
  • Collaborate globally with various infrastructure teams as well as software developers from each service development department
  • Basic Linux knowledge
  • Basic network knowledge
  • Understanding of the basic mechanisms of the Internet
  • Positive learning attitude to continue improving one’s technical skill
  • Experience either in infrastructure designing, constructing or operating for Web service.
  • Experience in Web system operation or having equivalent technical skills
  • Experience designing and operating of dozens of Web Service systems
  • Experience making tools for operation automation by using some script languages
  • Good expertise analyzing and fixing system failures on production environment
  • Excellent communication skill and strong responsibility for system stability
  • Experience in virtualization technology
  • Understanding Cloud Services
  • Programming skill (Ruby, Python, Go, etc.)
