Software Engineer for Security as a Service product from a public cloud at Tripwire (Alpharetta, GA)

Desired Skills and Experience

• Develop, test and deliver world class security as a service products from a public cloud environment
• Collaborate with team to improve and extend team processes to deliver quality security services
• Learn new techniques and technology as needed to meet future needs of the product services
• Respond to security services disruptions and other escalations from customers
• Work with the team to orchestrate the security services
• Other duties as assigned
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or related field), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer.
• 1+ years of experience developing in a Linux environment. CentOS preferred.
• Experience with MVC style frameworks, Django preferred.
• Python, C++ or Java development experience.
• Coding and/or scripting experience with task automation. Python preferred.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and cryptography.
• Working knowledge of networking concepts: switching, routing, VPN.
• Excellent technical writing, presentations, and systems analysis skills.
• Ability to learn and apply new knowledge quickly and effectively.
• Demonstrate problem solving skills.
• Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to plan, organize and work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience building UI using modern frameworks such as React and Angular.
• Experience working in a continuous development environment.
• Experience working with a cloud-provider. AWS preferred.
• Experience using relational databases. Postgres preferred.
• Experience automating infrastructure in AWS using tools like Terraform.
• Experience automating configuration using tools like Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or SaltStack.
• Experience working with a distributed service-based architecture.
