Backend Engineer (m/f) in Java/Scala at OnPage.org GmbH (München, Deutschland)

Desired Skills and Experience

• Develop backend features in close consultation with the product owner and the backend team;
• Find the best solution (with the best framework, systems, languages) for the respective tasks;
• We use, for example, Spark (2.0), Akka, Akka HTTP, Hbase, Impala, Elasticsearch (not only for log files), Scala (2.12), PHP(5/7), Docker, Travis-CI, AWS Services, etc.;
• Carry out independent unit tests, integration tests, & code reviews;
• Thanks to our flexible structure, you will work regularly on both existing products and new developments;
• The entire company and all teams use Scrum, Slack, Jira, & Foodora.
• Practical programming experience, ideally in flexible teams;
• You have a “You build it, you run it” attitude;
• You have at least heard of “grep,” “ssh,” and “git”;
• Basic knowledge in SQL/NoSQL databases would be a plus;
