Desired Skills and Experience
- Some of the primary responsibilities of this role would include:
- Provide Tripwire configuration, optimization, management, and reporting
- Configure tripwire to operate and discover security, application, and operating system related items
- Optimize tripwire to capture data and events, filter out unneeded items, and configure tripwire application itself to run efficiently.
- Document tripwire operations, configurations, and changes
- Test, troubleshoot, and recommend changes for tripwire operation and security.
- Configure tripwire to report and alert thru external systems (like Splunk)
- Work with Federal Staff, vendors, contractors working with systems using tripwire.
- Configure and review tripwire to filter out, confirm, and/or identify false positives
- Patch and test new and old versions of tripwire. Working experience in high-availability environments (e.g. LVS/Heartbeat, ldirectord, HAproxy)
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Advanced Red Hat Certification (e.g. RHCSA, RHCS, etc.) preferred
- Splunk Certification (e.g. SCA, SCSE) preferred
- Advanced Operational Security Certification (e.g. ISACA CISA, TCNA, TCSE, TCLM) preferred
- Incident Management
- Problem Management
- Change Management
- Critical thinking skills
- Active listening skills and effective communication strategies
- Process improvement knowledge (e.g. ITIL Foundations in Service Management, CMMI, etc.)
- HEAT Service Management experience
- High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Five (5) or more years of direct experience in as a Tier 3 Administrator in IT Infrastructure operations for a large network environment
- Intermediate (Administrator) level System Administration Certification
