Desired Skills and Experience
- Setup and maintenance of virtualized infrastructure.
- Administering the infrastructure where our subscription-based customer environments reside.
- Diagnose and remedy cloud related problems and failures.
- Monitor and report on Uptime/Downtime.
- Schedule Regular Maintenance.
- Proficiency in hosting solutions, network operations, private and hybrid cloud administration
- Understanding of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and Cloud design
- Proficiency in virtualization management and configuration
- MS SQL Server and the SQL query language, as well as database-related tools such as Redgate
- Proficiency in setup of complex Microsoft software such as IIS, SharePoint or Exchange Server
- Networking proficiency (TCP/IP, DNS, network topology, switch/router configurations, security)
- Proficiency in setup of VPN, Web Service or other hybrid connections to on-premise integrated technologies.
- Understanding and ability to promptly diagnose and remedy cloud related problems and failures
- Computer systems, n-tier applications, mapping (GIS), business-critical applications, and modern browser-based products
- Experience in optimizing the sizing of infrastructure to suit a growing client base
- Proficiency with system performance tools such as PerfMon, Fiddler, SQL Profiler, Application Insights etc.
