Desired Skills and Experience

  • Thorough understanding of AWS-based services (DNS, Route 53, NAT, CNAME , VPC, VPN, Subnet, multi-regions) supporting production SaaS platform including web applications and data analytic services
  • Coordination with Fractal’s DevOps team and Director of Cyber Operations to implement specific attributes of a network
  • Automating and streamlining test network deployment operations and processes to maintain timely testing and security of Fractal OS
  • Develops, maintains, and upgrades automated test scripts and architectures for Fractal products. Writes, implements, and reports status for system test cases
  • Interacting directly with client project team members and network engineers to understand clients network landscape and integrating Fractal OS with client platform
  • Applies principles, methods and knowledge of the functional area of capability to specific task order requirements, to exceptionally difficult and narrowly defined technical problems in engineering and other scientific applications to arrive at automated solutions
  • Ensure that a comprehensive vulnerability assessment and validation of the effectiveness of security controls is performed
  • Strong understanding of enterprise level network operations including but not limited to router, switch, segmentation and filtering technologies in traditional and virtualized environments
  • Assist in delivery of secure, high performance, multi-tiered enterprise cloud applications
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues in development, test and production environments
  • Supporting on-premise software deployments and client integration security considerations
  • Monitor network devices such as routers, switches and firewalls as well as network bandwidth utilization
  • Reside in the greater Washington D.C. area or be able to relocate
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Masters a plus) in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Experience testing hardware and software components in a cloud computing or bare metal (on-premise) environment
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and performing automated testing in an AWS environment
  • Strong background in software development best practices and testing methodologies via code and design reviews
  • Proficiency in specifying and implementing testing and production environment infrastructure
  • Expertise with automated testing products, including how to set up automated testing, how to script automated tests, how to create automated regression test suites, and how to troubleshoot automated testing issues
  • Technical proficiency with common commercial and or open source vulnerability assessment tools and techniques used for evaluating operating systems, networking devices, databases and web applications
  • Broad knowledge of security best practices, security solutions, and methodologies for conducting advance security assessments, to include manual assessments and malicious user testing
  • Proficient working with various Infrastructure tools/technologies such as SCCM, GPO, Active Directory/Kerberos
  • Expert understanding of cloud and network services to include networking protocols and operating systems security, directory services, identity management, network, systems, storage, databases, PKI, VPN, SSO, federation services, or WIFI
  • Expertise in Python, C, C++, Powershell, Bash, etc…
  • Cloud Container technology (Kubernetes, Docker, Mesos)
  • Enterprise Systems Administration experience supporting scalabale, secure Microsoft Windows and Linux/Unix servers
  • Cross-platform experience and the expertise to identify and resolve integration issues
  • Adept at learning and applying new technologies and solving new problems
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Experience and interest in security considerations for large-scale distributed systems, API-driven services, and API vulnerability assessment
  • Consulting experience is preferable
  • Interest/experience in DevOps and deployment challenges associated with containerization and container orchestration technologies such as Docker and Mesosphere
  • Experience reviewing and interpreting security policies and procedures for operational feasibility and technical sensibility
