Desired Skills and Experience
- Administer, build, configure, and maintain an OBIEE platform in a LINUX environment
- Manage the settings, server, web-catalog, log parameter files, promotion of data repositories associated with OBIEE
- Start-up and shutdown the Oracle Business Intelligence Suite application servers and web servers
- Managing OBIEE repository, security setup, system patching/upgrades, migrations of Web Catalog objects (Dashboard, Pages, Folders, Reports)
- Configuration of Presentation Services and BI Services
- Troubleshoot issues raised by users and provide timely resolutions
- Maintain and configure WebLogic to support the Business Intelligence platform
- Work on an on-call rotation and provide after hours support to perform system maintenance and enhancements
- Design Physical & Logical architecture in OBIEE
- Perform capacity planning, requirement analysis and documentation for technical needs
- Develop, create, and document technical architecture and specifications
- Develop and maintain a disaster recovery strategy
- Make decision to improve performance of infrastructure systems and end user experience
- Work collaboratively with internal and external resources to support and enhance the existing BI architecture
- Have 5-8 years of experience working on a team responsible for designing, building, configuring, administering and maintaining an OBIEE solution
- Have a Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics, physics, engineering or computer science (Preferred: Master’s degree in computer science, mathematics, physics or engineering discipline from an accredited US university)
- Have a minimum of 2 years of LINUX command line experience
- Have a minimum of 2 years of WebLogic administration and configuration experience
- Worked with Oracle 12c platform and OBIEE RPD merges process
- Are known for your SQL querying skills, knowledge of OBIEE, ETL, and Data Migration
- Worked in an agile environment
- Communication is your strong suit: in code, in email, and face-to-face
- Are a relationship-builder and a collaborator
- Business Intelligence Cloud Services (BICS) experience
- Tableau Admin and/or development experience
- Data Validation and Testing experience
