Desired Skills and Experience
- Install and configure the servers and distributed controllers;
- Define upgrade deployment strategy and develop corresponding tools;
- Manage access strategy and rights for the Operations IT equipment.
- Research and validate suitable hardware (performance, reliability, etc.);
- Integrate new hardware in the AMPARD fleet.
- Monitor and maintain the entire fleet of IT systems and databases used for AMPARD operations;
- Generate performance reports for AMPARD operations and IT equipment;
- Troubleshooting (first level of service requests).
- Solid Knowledge of GNU/Linux and specifically Debian Jessie, including system;
- Good understanding about configuration management and preferably experience with SALT Stack;
- Solid Shell scripting capabilities;
- Excellent know-how on IT Security;
- Proven records as CLI only sysadmin and experience with cloud management (from web UI and CLI);
- Experience with project knowledge sharing tools (like Github, Gitlab, Trac or Redmine);
- Experience with GIT is preferred;
- Experience with maintenance of Postgresql or similar database is an asset;
- Curious and focused when dealing with novelties; You don’t lose yourself in transverse path and escalate to seniors when needed;
- Capable and willing to document, train and support the team;
- Fluent in English and preferably also German.
