Desired Skills and Experience

  • Lead problem resolution to identify, recommend, and implement issue resolution and/or process improvements.
  • Guide, review and approve design and build of custom interfaces, and the configuration and implementation of COTS integration components. Ensuring testing for system interoperability and documentation.Develop and monitor standard operating processes for end-to-end testing that align with standard best practices (e.g. code review; security (OWASP checklist) review; IT QA review; software performance test and user acceptance tests), available resources and size of application projects.
  • Manage SQL Server 2014 environment, lead SSIS package and SSRS reporting development, including technical requirements collection and documentation.
  • Create and monitor standard operating procedures for testing OS and application software updates and upgrades.
  • Manage and support vendor relationships for application systems and coordinate license renewal efforts.
  • Supervise application services staff including developing position description, recruitment, professional development and evaluation process.
  • Provide technical information required in the preparation of the annual IT Security Audit submission.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of documentation content to satisfy SOP, DR and internal business and system documentation requirements.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or commensurate education and experience.
  • Eight to ten years of experience working with enterprise applications and 5 + years of experience in staff management, including hands-on technical leadership.
  • Proficient in enterprise data and application integration concepts, tools, techniques and best practices including Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Web Services, and Extract Transform Load (ETL);
  • Intermediate level understanding of object or component oriented development software (e.g. Microsoft Visual C# .NET, Practical extraction and reporting language Perl and Java.)
  • Intermediate knowledge of DBMS Technologies which include SQL Server, No SQL and Data Warehousing appliances
  • Proficient in dimensional modeling; relational modeling and star schema design concepts
  • Exposure to OWASP with regard to application architecture and design
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks and to work independently and with minimum supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and an effective player/coach.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Projects for Project Planning and Management
