Desired Skills and Experience

  • Understanding of AWS-based services supporting production SaaS platform including web applications and data analytic services
  • Ability to analyze cybersecurity problem, develop a technologically sound risk balanced approach, and articulate a response.
  • Ability to act as the primary interface for the client, including providing status briefings on project status
  • Working collaboratively across teams to ensure consistent, performant, appropriate and secure customer deployments
  • Assessing security configurations for SaaS, PaaS, and Cloud systems, traditional operating systems, applications and services
  • Participates as needed in all phases of customer deployment with emphasis on the planning, analysis, testing, integration, documentation, and deployment phases.
  • Applies principles, methods and knowledge of the functional area of capability to specific task order requirements, to exceptionally difficult and narrowly defined technical problems in engineering and other scientific applications to arrive at automated solutions.
  • Analyze emerging technologies and design and build architectures and solutions to enable secure implementation of new technologies.
  • Supporting and assisting non-AWS cloud deployments as needed
  • Reside in the greater Washington D.C. area or be able to relocate
  • Broad knowledge of security best practices, security solutions, and methodologies for conducting advance security assessments, to include manual assessments and malicious user testing
  • Proficient working with various Infrastructure tools/technologies such as SCCM, GPO, Active Directory/Kerberos
  • Expert understanding of networking protocols and operating systems
  • Expertise in Python, C, C++, Powershell, Bash, etc…
  • Strong background in Microsoft Windows and Linux/Unix
  • Enterprise System Administration Experience
  • Knowledge of IT Security principles, techniques and technologies
  • Understanding of the technical aspects of Information Security
  • Hands-on technical understanding of incident response, computer forensics, network and/or application security
  • Knowledge of Networking protocols and technologies, e.g. TCP/IP, Firewalls, Routers, etc.
  • Knowledge of Software Defined Networking (SDN)
  • Good understanding of frameworks such as ISO 17799/27001/27002, and other relevant compliance such PCI, HIPPA, SOX, NERC, FISMA, FFIEC and GLBA and others
