Desired Skills and Experience
- Develop high-performance, reliable web infrastructures and digital solutions
- Design, implement, optimize and automate operational processes for Linux server platforms, such as, roll-out, patch management and (system / product) monitoring
- Continuous administration, as well as the ongoing optimization and support of our existing Datacenter Infrastructure
- Execution of implementation and migration projects
- Research and implementation of new technologies within the data center environment
- Involvement in the conceptual and actual implementation of data centers to ensure ideal performance in high-traffic situations
- Maintenance and further development of our monitoring system and other quality assurance tools
- Competence and several years of experience with Linux servers, ideally with Redhat / CentOS
- Competence in setting up computer networks (TCP/IP, DNS, Firewalling, load balancing)
- High proficiency and experience in shell-scripting regarding Unix/Linx, as well as additional script language(s)
- A university diploma or (proof of) other studies and or training with focus on IT
- Capacity for teamwork, analytical thinking, and a high level of commitment, as well as being reliable when it comes to the delivery of quality work
- Good communication skills in both German and English
- Python / Golang / Ruby (Puppet)
- High degree of automation (Puppet)
- Amazon Web Services and custom datacenter infrastructure
- Java / Tomcat technologies in a web environment
