Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, or 3 years of relevant experience in place of a degree.
- Strong commitment to accessibility principles.
- Project management skills including communication, organization, facilitation and independent decision making.
- Experience building and maintaining relationships, problem solving, teamwork, and collaboration while managing multiple and sometimes competing priorities.
- Ability to synthesize complex concepts or criteria and develop into concise written form (i.e. best-practice guidelines, project plans, policy frameworks, timelines/roadmaps, project status, executive summaries, etc.).
- Exceptional oral communication skills including presenting in front of an audience.
- Knowledge of assistive technology hardware and software and computing systems.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts and ideas to nontechnical individuals.
- Creates an environment that acknowledges, encourages and celebrates differences.
- Functions and communicates effectively and respectfully within the context of varying beliefs, behaviors, orientations, identities and cultural backgrounds.
