Desired Skills and Experience

• Matlab
• Python for data science
• SQL for data science
• DevOps in data science
• Apache stack for data scientists (Hadoop/MapReduce, Spark, Hive, Pig, Storm, Sqoop, Cassandra, HBase, Mahout, Lucene/Solr, Avro, CouchDB, Kafka, et al)
• Emerging data science and analytics platforms: Microsoft Azure ML/Cortana Intelligence; IBM Watson Analytics/Developer Cloud/Alchemy API; Amazon Machine Learning
• Deep knowledge of, and professional experience with, the technologies you wish to teach
• Prior teaching experience preferred, but not required
• Involvement with the data science ecosystem and community preferred
• Interest in e-learning as a medium, either as a trainer or student
• Ability to respond to and incorporate feedback productively
• Ability to commit approximately 30 hours to developing a course (over several months) and 1-week to record in one of our studios (travel expenses paid). Remote recording options available.
