Desired Skills and Experience
- Network installation and Troubleshooting
- Management of physical network components including cabling
- Setup, Configuration and management of network switches, routers, wireless access points and other networking hardware
- Computer hardware troubleshooting, service and repair
- Support of Microsoft software applications and services including Server OS, Workstation OS, Active Directory and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Support of virtualization software and systems (VMWare, Hyper-V and Xen)
- Basic knowledge of Mac OSX and Apple hardware
- Basic knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu)
- 2 or 4 year degree in IT or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years of experience supporting business users
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good organization and ability to follow detailed instructions
- Ability to work with a range of systems users with varying skills and business needs
