- Explain how and why a particular security incident happened
- Propose viable, informed solutions to fix security problems that arise
- Gain a firm understanding of the security domains and understand how the apply at every stage of software development
- Maintain technical documentation
- Provide engineering designs for new software solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities
- University degree in Informatics, Computer Science or a related field
- Proven professional track-record in software security analysis and the security field
- Payment, banking or financial background a strong plus
- Understanding of payment or other sensible processes
- Deep software development experience in programming languages like Java and/or Scala
- Strong interest in all aspects of security research and development
- Knowledge of current trends in software design, architecture and web services
- Willingness to stay current on security topics
- Engagement with the security team to discuss new tools and exchange best practices
