- Fulfill requests from internal and external customers surrounding the management of CX Platform within applicable Service Level Objectives
- Contribute to the RightNow DevOps Toolchain through python/php and bash scripts
- Follow standard operating procedures and policies in administering the CX Platform
- Execute approved changes during change windows
- Recommend and execute modifications to Linux systems in order to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance
- Participate in project delivery aimed at increasing capabilities around monitoring, notification, configuration and deployment of servers and applications within CX platform
- Coordinate with network engineering, business application and database administration functions to ensure availability, reliability and scalability of Linux systems to meet business demands
- Develop and maintain in-house infrastructure documentation

- Additionally a detailed background check will be conducted in order to obtain UK security clearance which is also required for this role.
- College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or 5+ years equivalent work experience
- Specific knowledge of RedHat, CentOS or Oracle Linux platforms
- Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux, Linux services, and Linux networking
- Familiarity with TCP/IP protocols, firewall management, and database administration
- Ability to conduct research into Linux issues and products as required
- Systems troubleshooting experience
- LAMP Administration experience within a mission critical environment
- Working technical knowledge of coding using Python and shell scripting
- Application support experience with MySQL
- Strong understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives
- Good written and oral communication skills

- Prior experience in mission-critical support role
- Prior hands-on experience with Java
- Experience with Hadoop, Puppet or Graphite frameworks
- Experience with Jenkins or other continuous integration environments
- Experience with GIT
- Experience with virtualization frameworks such as KVM
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
