  • Fulfill requests from internal and external customers surrounding the management of CX Platform within applicable Service Level Objectives
  • Contribute to the RightNow DevOps Toolchain through python/php and bash scripts
  • Follow standard operating procedures and policies in administering the CX Platform
  • Execute approved changes during change windows
  • Recommend and execute modifications to Linux systems in order to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance
  • Participate in project delivery aimed at increasing capabilities around monitoring, notification, configuration and deployment of servers and applications within CX platform
  • Coordinate with network engineering, business application and database administration functions to ensure availability, reliability and scalability of Linux systems to meet business demands
  • Develop and maintain in-house infrastructure documentation

  • Additionally a detailed background check will be conducted in order to obtain UK security clearance which is also required for this role.
  • College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or 5+ years equivalent work experience
  • Specific knowledge of RedHat, CentOS or Oracle Linux platforms
  • Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux, Linux services, and Linux networking
  • Familiarity with TCP/IP protocols, firewall management, and database administration
  • Ability to conduct research into Linux issues and products as required
  • Systems troubleshooting experience
  • LAMP Administration experience within a mission critical environment
  • Working technical knowledge of coding using Python and shell scripting
  • Application support experience with MySQL
  • Strong understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives
  • Good written and oral communication skills

  • Experience with Jenkins or other continuous integration environments
  • Experience with GIT
  • Experience with virtualization frameworks such as KVM
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
