Desired Skills and Experience

  • Must have a minimum of 12 months experience in providing internal and or external customer service / support with an emphasis in supporting the current security threat landscape, trends and mitigation procedures.
  • Must have a minimum of 12 months work experience with vulnerability & patch remediation best practices on Microsoft Windows based operating systems
  • Must have a minimum of 12 months work experience using Microsoft® Excel® and being able to work with tables, data sets, and a variety of functions to analyze and query data.
  • Must have a minimum of 12 months work experience being able to install, configure and troubleshoot Microsoft windows updates.  This includes familiarity with configuring Microsoft Windows updates resolving common Microsoft Windows update component issues that interfere with general patching such as service restarts and distribution folder cleaning.
  • Associates degree is preferred
  • Experience writing PowerShell scripts to support automation is preferred.
  • Work experience using any of the following automated patch management software solutions such as SCCM/WSUS/N-able/Kaseya/Connect Wise/Lumension or other enterprise level automation tools is preferred.
  • Work experience in using Microsoft or Third Party Vulnerability Management or Information Security related field experience using vulnerability based scanners such as Nessus is preferred.
  • Run diagnostic programs and perform data analysis on diagnostics, including log files and error messages, to assist in resolving problems is preferred.
  • Work experience doing SQL Querying and SQL data sets is preferred.
  • Any prior work experience in being able to implement Microsoft Windows server hardening techniques, including but not limited to manually and automatically setting registry keys, adjusting, adding, or removing GPOs, administering service packs, and updating or removing specific file types to and from devices is preferred.
  • Identify and understand line items within customer contracts, and utilize custom and corporate tools to ensure the proper delivery of services as outlined by the agreements. 
  • Will be monitoring, analyzing, and remediating Microsoft Windows based security risks and software vulnerabilities by deploying Microsoft windows and 3rd party updates and adhering to department defined operating procedures is preferred.
  • Review metrics to analyze and identify potential security risks and software vulnerabilities.  Identify necessary actions associated with remediation processes and report the findings to management and customers. 
  • Coordinate and communicate appropriate action plan with customers to facilitate the implementation of security updates to software.
  • Manage the execution of basic security updates by prioritizing critical issues for quick remediation.  Perform follow-ups to ensure proper resolution of critical issues; monitor progress, escalate complex or difficult issues.
  • Provide support and feedback to customers regarding 3rd party and FDIC audit examination results, including preparing for, and remediating against, vulnerability audits as well as informing customers of best practices for reporting upcoming audit dates.
  • Understanding of processes within multiple departments and divisions within the company to identify, route, and troubleshoot specific customer issues or concerns in a timely manner.
  • Provide consumers with general and technical support for department products and services. Support includes but is not limited to:  answering questions, troubleshooting problems, teaching or instructing customers regarding software or hardware functionality, and communicating department policies.
