- Design, develop, test, and maintain production-level enterprise applications deployed to cloud infrastructure
- Extend open-source libraries and systems as necessary to meet the needs of the team
- Develop and maintain production Web applications deployed to cloud infrastructure
- Design and implement functionality from storage to middleware to REST API
- Develop large scale streaming and/or batch data management and analysis capabilities using storage and analytic technologies
- Investigate ways to model historical event behavior to provide baselines for comparison when visualizing current event activity
- Stand up an instance of Zeppelin for an Apache Spark cluster on AWS and write a Spark analytic that summarizes event data stored in AWS S3 and writes the results to Elasticsearch
- Build and maintain a streaming ETL infrastructure capable of reliably processing thousands of events a second and writing them to a clustered Kafka topic
- You love technology (eg. Java, Groovy, Scala and other JVM languages, Spring, Gradle, Maven, Tomcat)
- You’re tired of refactoring someone else’s code built on ancient technology
