Desired Skills and Experience
- Setup and operate highly available and distributed databases
- Monitor, benchmark and improve performance of services and infrastructure
- Optimize and automate our workflows, and keep our uptime at 100%
- Evaluate and introduce new technologies to our existing stack
- 5+ years practical experience in different DBMS, MySQL being one of it
- Good knowledge in distributed database setups and replication (cluster, master/slave, master/master)
- Good knowledge in Unix and AWS products, preferably including AWS Redshift
- Experienced in ETL processing and big data management
- Highly proficient in spoken and written English and/or German
