Desired Skills and Experience

  • Monitor and coordinate deployments. 
  • Understand and lead application configuration (including site-specific configuration) for all deployed environments (Dev., Integration, Staging, Production), including appropriate processes, proper documentation and release versioning strategy.
  • Understand the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and the role/implementation of 3rd party tools.
  • Work closely with server support infrastructure teams to maintain consistency and adhere to IT policies and procedures.
  • Upgrade, install, and configure new hardware and software and components to support the release pipeline as needed, in accordance with IT policies and procedures.
  • Configure and maintain Puppet scripts to rapidly and consistently spin up new environments to support the release pipeline.
  • Work with database and server support infrastructure teams to plan and execute application / tooling upgrades.
  • Hands-on experience configuring Web Servers using Internet Information Services (IIS).
  • Experience with Puppet or any other Software Configuration Management tool.
  • 1+ years’ experience in Release, Configuration, and Change Management process.
  • Hands-on experience in in updating, maintaining, and building Windows Servers, specifically 2008-2012.
  • Experience with C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, and Entity Framework.
  • Experience with modern web development tools and frameworks (HTML5, CSS3, js, Responsive Design).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Hands-on experience in VMware ESX vSphere hypervisor.
  • Understands importance of accuracy, responsiveness & collaboration with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Attained or working toward a college degree in computer science, engineering or related discipline (Other degrees will be considered with appropriate background and experience).
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), interpersonal skills, as well as outstanding organizational skills.
  • Ability to coordinate for multiple projects concurrently.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to any given situation.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in high stress situations with a calm demeanor.
