- COBOL and Assembly in a CICS mainframe environment
- CICS COBOL API in a SQL DB environment
- IBM Resource Access Control Facility (RACF)
- Visual Basic 6 development
- NIST 800-53 controls / FISMA
- Backend web development using Java
- Authoring developer-friendly documentation (e.g., API documentation, deployment operations)
- Developing and Consuming web-based, RESTful APIs with the Dropwizard Java framework
- Communicating technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Writing automated unit, integration, browser, accessibility, acceptance, load, and performance tests (e.g. JUnit, JMeter, Selenium, Pa11y)
- Using and working in team environments that use agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Lean)
- Use of version control systems, specifically Git and GitHub
- Quickly researching and learning new programming tools and techniques
- Writing and working with open source solutions and community
- Knowledge of enterprise user authentication tools
- Handling and scaling the storage of large data sets, scalable search technology
- Intense curiosity about people and human interactions
- Ability to appreciate and communicate with both introverts and extroverts
- Desire to become an extraordinary communicator by searching inside yourself
- Ability to see patterns and identify unstated needs
- Experience with GitHub, Pivotal Tracker, Slack are preferred
