Desired Skills and Experience
- Develop and improve internal deployment and orchestration tools;
- Support the rapid development and deployment of internal software and systems by developing tools;
- Develop and experiment with new scalability solutions;
- Automate systems management of new and existing databases;
- Troubleshoot and fix bugs alongside DBA’s, systems administrators and software developers;
- Provide excellent service in response to commercial business requirements. You will have to provide knowledge and support to technical software developers.
- Mastery at one or more programming languages, for example, Python, Perl, or Java.
- Strong understanding of database products such as MySQL, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL or MariaDB;
- Experience in automation and configuration management, preferably with tools such as Puppet or Chef;
- Proficiency in Linux command line;
- Strong interest and ability to analyze systems for scalability and reliability;
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills;
- Good team communication skills;
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently;
- A passion for providing excellent service to developers and external customers.
