Desired Skills and Experience
- Experience configuring, maintaining, and supporting enterprise class data center equipment
- 2-3 years or more of system administration experience with Linux
- Hands on experience managing DNS, DHCP, and LDAP services
- Understanding of physical server hardware infrastructure and maintenance
- Experience scaling configuration management: Puppet preferred, but could also include Salt, Chef, Ansible, CFEngine)
- Strong troubleshooting experience with large network attached storage
- Experience in a fast-paced, startup type environment
- Experience with virtualized environments (VMWare, Xen, KVM, Hyper-V)
- Fluency in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, Perl, Ruby)
- Experience with Nagios or other similar monitoring systems
- Desire to automate all the things
- Experience designing and developing software and hardware architectures
