Desired Skills and Experience

  • Working on maintenance and improvement of current infrastructure
  • Design, provision, test and deploy new clusters, POPs or datacentres
  • Monitor, investigate and troubleshoot production issues at worldwide scale
  • Monitor performance and advise any necessary infrastructure changes
  • Ideal candidate will have a very strong background in Linux administration
  • Masters / Bachelors degree in Computer Science, or equivalent
  • Deep understanding and experience with networks, high-availability and scaling
  • Good scripting skills (python, bash, ruby)
  • Experience with configuration management (puppet, ansible) and source code management (GIT)
  • Experience with web servers/reverse proxies (nginx/nginx+, haproxy, apache2, tomcat)
  • Knowledge of monitoring and graphing tools (riemann, icinga, graphite, grafana)
  • Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (mysql, couchbase, redis, memcached, redshift,dynamodb, mongodb, …)
  • Experience or knowledge of ELK stack, kafka, consul, zookeeper is a plus
  • Experience with cloud (AWS, Rackspace, Softlayer, GCE) is a plus
  • Experience with SIP and media proxies (kamailio, rtpengine) and telephony platforms (asterisk,freeswitch, voxeo) is a plus
  • Knowledge of voice protocols (SIP, SIPS, RTP, SRTP,SDP) is a plus
  • Experience with VoiceXML and CCXML is a plus
  • Ability and willingness to work in a global, fast-paced environment
  • Flexible with the ability to adapt working style to meet objectives
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with team members
