IT Engineer - Network Eng/Windows Server Admin; firewalls, security, protocols + at EdgeLink (Aspen, CO)

Desired Skills and Experience

• Building and implementing firewall rules, packet capture and analysis, cryptographic protocols (including IPSec, HTTPS, hashing and PKI). Next Gen firewall experience a major plus.
• Routing and switching (specifically OSPF, subnetting and Wireless LAN optimization).
• Windows Server administration (DHCP/DNS, DFS, AD, RDP, Volume Shadow Copies).
• Email, contacts, and calendar integration in a MS Exchange environment.
• Tools and methods of network and process documentation.
• Verbal and written communication of complex concepts to a non-technical audience.
• Purchasing and life cycle management of end user and infrastructure equipment.
• Mobile device management and mobile VPNs, including two factor authentication.
• Experience in implementing best practices for defense against and recovery from malware, including application whitelisting, email SPAM and virus protection, and traditional AV.
• Experience with Savant, Vantage or other home automation platforms a major plus.
• Project Management including scoping, detailing deliverables, communicating with stakeholders, budgeting and change management.
• Thorough understanding of traditional telephony and VOIP technologies.
• Cellular repeaters, WiMAX, and satellite internet.
• Graduate degree in a related field.
• Desired certifications: Security+ or CCNA along with MCSA/MCSE
