- Administration of server systems, mainly based on Linux
- Maintenance of storage systems (SAN/NAS) and network components
- Development and operation of customer-specific platforms within the scope of Business Solutions
- Automation of administration processes in the system landscape
- Implementation and operation of central services in high-availability environments
- Continuous further development of the internal monitoring system
- Collaboration with the technical hotline for customer escalations
- Cooperation with our developers to continuously develop existing processes
- Very good knowledge and experience in working with Linux systems
- Knowledge of virtualization and container solutions such as VMware, KVM, Docker or Virtuozzo
- Advanced knowledge of basic network applications, especially Apache, MySQL (MariaDB), Bind, SNMP, Mail, NFS etc.
- Solid knowledge of network technology including switching and routing, knowledge of traffic analysis (tcpdump, Wireshark)
- Experience in dealing with databases, especially MySQL (MariaDB), possibly also Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise
- Experience in Perl and shell scripting as part of the automation of system management tasks
- Willingness to flexible working hours in 24/7 data center operation (three-shift system)
- Very good German and good English language skills
